Blood Testament starts on September 8, 2026 and runs until December 8. Three months split into three chapters. Right now we’re in chapter 2, from October 6 to November 8.

Yes. The 2.9 patch notes came out on September 8 and the 2.9.1 notes on October 6, so the numbers here are no longer preliminary. If Crytek changes anything in a later patch, this page will be updated.

Warren Russett, a Hunter who loses everything, accepts a newly formulated blood serum offered by someone called Lynch. Since taking drugs from a complete stranger sounds like a great plan, he gets hooked and ends up with a thirst for blood with deadly consequences. The ending is discovered by playing the free Story Challenge in chapter 1.

In October, no exact date yet. And this time they’re staying for good.

These days, only by finding it naturally out in the world, like any Scarce Trait. During Make Them Bleed the Blood Wells handed it out too (one per compound, once per team, in exchange for some health), but they went away after Stage III.

A new boss: Bloodskin. The community finished Stage III on September 11, 2026 and Crytek unlocked it that same day. Details in the Bloodskin section.

It lets you interact with horses, cows, animal cages, chicken coops and dog kennels to restore one health chunk. The animal dies and, since it’s a Burn Trait, it gets used up. Once unlocked it costs 2 Upgrade Points.

Yes. It was permanently unlocked for everyone, no battle pass needed, and it shows up in the Incursion areas.

A single-use Trait: it burns away when you use it. Siphon is spent when you steal the Trait off an enemy corpse, and Chupacabra when you sacrifice the animal.

It’s a night condition that shifts during the match itself. In the intense phase monsters go into Frenzy: they spot you from farther away and move and attack faster, though they don’t gain health or damage. In the dark phase visibility drops and the AI goes back to normal.

Depends on the phase. In the first half of its health it barely takes damage until you break its armor, and it’s vulnerable to Burn and Piercing. In the second half it transforms and becomes weaker against Burn and Rending. In both it resists Poison and Blunt damage.

It’s a foldable, slide-action shotgun with 6+1 shells that takes 3 slots, with reliable kills out to about 12 m and handling similar to the Slate. The folding comes at the cost of noticeably slower equip and unequip animations.

On October 13. At first you score points by killing Bileweavers and destroying their eggs, and each of the five stages changes how you score.

It restores the last Trait your Hunter lost during the mission: the Burn Traits you use up and also the one stolen from you with Siphon. It unlocks in Stage III of All Hallows' Cleave.

It’s still on the to-do list, no date yet.

They’re still working on it. There might be news in December.

Because it’s broken. They’re fixing it, but there’s no date.

For now there are no plans for big changes to their mechanics.

It’s the reward for Stage V of All Hallows' Cleave. It’s a single-shot tool that takes long ammo: it costs $110 and deals 116 damage.

There will be destructible pumpkins and something will happen when you break them. They wouldn’t say what on the livestream.

They’re still going through the issues from the test before running it again. No date or concrete plan.

They’re looking into it. They don’t know yet whether the fix will land in a hotfix or in the next update.

Not this time, though Crytek wants to bring them back at some point.

Still no confirmed date. Crytek showed it early because there won’t be a livestream for it; the next one will be for update 2.10, in December.

It ejects every round from the barrels, fired or not. If you reload with unspent rounds, you lose them. It carries 4 loaded and 12 spare: three full reloads.

A new Legacy Chronicle. The Plague Doctor from As the Crow Flies is back, now as the Plague Surgeon: Lynch asks him to operate on Warren Russett, and that’s where Bloodskin comes from.

A new pistol with Medium ammo and four barrels and a rotating firing pin: 110 damage and $100. It’s the reward for Stage II of Reap the Harvest, the chapter 3 community event.

It’s the same pistol with a heavy knife attached, the first of its kind. Its melee attack drains as much stamina as the Heavy Knife. It costs $110 and arrives in Stage IV of Reap the Harvest.

A random Legendary Hunter to round out your collection. If you already have them all, there’s an alternative reward.

Because its range at full draw gets cut: from 36 to 30 m with Hundred Hands and from 29 to 27 m without it. On top of that, half-draw shots deal less damage and the reserve drops to 6 regular arrows and 4 special per slot.

Killing at range gets pricier: Throwing Axes go up to $80, the Penny Derringer to $100 and the Throwing Spear to $145. And support gear gets cheaper: Tool Box down to $25, First Aid Kit and Decoys to $15 and Bear Traps to $35.

Up to 15 points per Loadout. Equipping it assigns the Traits automatically; if you don’t have enough points, it won’t equip in full. And there’s a checkbox to turn the Traits off and take just the gear.

If it’s a confirmed cheater, you get an automatic reimbursement in Hunt Dollars. And if your report leads to action, you get a pop-up message when you log in.

A new ammo type for the LeMat family in the Arsenal. On the carbine it deals 101 damage at 560 m/s with a reserve of 12; on the pistol, 92 damage at 450 m/s with a reserve of 8. In exchange, the revolver loses reserve on bullets, buckshot and shells.

Every Clue reveals two Extraction Points, and you just need to pass within 75 m of a location to discover it. The Spyglass and pings still reveal at range, Scouting Maps can turn up at any Supply Point, and the Scout Towers have the map with every point of interest inside.

Crackshot, Blademancer and Corpseseer. They show up again in the Scout Towers and the themed Supply Points, in both sealed and regular versions.

A temporary modifier for players coming back after a long break: it lowers the difficulty of your matchups and fades out as you get back into practice.

60: the 59 levels plus the final reward. They include 3 Hunters, 28 legendary skins, the three Burgess variants and 600 Blood Bonds spread across six levels of 100.

In game, premium rewards have crossed keys above the icon. Here, the reward card also tells you with a “Free” or “Paid pass” tag, and in the list the free ones are marked in gold.

By level: the Burgess at 15, the Bayonet at 25 and the Trauma at 35. All three are free, stay unlocked through Prestige and, once the event ends, move into normal weapon progression.

The Calyptra charm, and it’s free. It used to be the brooch Midnight's Shadow wore close to the heart.

18 of the 60, including the three Burgess variants and the final reward, the Calyptra charm. The rest are on the premium pass.

Three: The Dark Friar at level 0, Hell's Profiteer at 29 and Lynch at 58. All three are on the premium pass.

Yes. Since update 2.9.1, pass skins can be equipped as soon as you unlock them, without first unlocking the item variant they belong to.

No. All three variants unlock through the battle pass (levels 15, 25 and 35) and stay unlocked through Prestige. Once the event ends they move into normal weapon progression.

From October 26 to November 9, as part of Twitch’s Frightfest: 24 rewards spread over two weeks.

From a list of 61 that includes Highwayman, Desert Rose, the Union Suits and Bad Hand. If you already have them all, you get 10,000 Hunt Dollars.

If you already have it, you get a random Legendary Hunter instead.

No. You only need to be logged into Twitch while watching a Hunt: Showdown 1896 stream with Drops enabled. When you hit a milestone, claim it in your Twitch inventory to unlock the next one.

Your account link should carry over from the previous campaign, but it’s worth checking your connection status on the campaign page and on huntshowdown.com/twitchdrops. Check both so you don’t miss any reward.

Any of them, as long as they have Drops enabled and are streaming in the Hunt: Showdown 1896 category. You can browse the Hunt directory on Twitch.

Crytek hasn’t published the hours for each block yet. On the livestream they talked about roughly four hours in total spread over the two weeks. As soon as they’re out, they’ll be here.

Link your Hunt account to Twitch, watch Hunt streams with drops enabled while each block is running, and claim every reward in your Twitch drops inventory.

Go to huntshowdown.com/twitchdrops and click “Link Account”. Choose your platform (Steam, Xbox or PlayStation), log into your Hunt: Showdown 1896 account and authorize the connection with your Twitch account. You can check your link status on that same page anytime.

Make sure you claimed it in your Twitch inventory and that your Twitch and Hunt accounts are linked correctly. Then restart the game: it can take a little while to process. If it still doesn’t show up, contact Crytek support.

The most common cause is that one of your accounts is already linked. Check it on Twitch: click your profile picture → “Settings” → “Connections” tab. There you can add or remove connections.
