All Hallows' Cleave
The Halloween Community Event of Chapter 2, starting October 13. Five stages and, just like Make Them Bleed, everyone feeds the same scoreboard from the in-game screen.
The rules change every stage
It starts with killing Bileweavers and destroying their eggs. Each stage then changes how points are earned, so the objective won't always be the same.
The five stages
The Atlas
Tarot Card. Reveals every hidden location on the map, like a Scouting Map. You can use it at the start of the match to plan your attack.
Hunt Dollars and Event Points
The Temperance
Tarot Card. Restores the last Trait your Hunter lost this mission: the ones you burn and also the one stolen with Siphon.
Hunt Dollars and Event Points
Long Derringer
New Tool: a single-shot pistol that fires Long Ammo. Full stat sheet
Tarot Cards
Why Temperance matters
It says lost, not burnt. That covers Burn Traits and also the Trait stolen with Siphon, Scarce or not. The clearest case is Necromancer: you burn it to get back up solo or to revive a teammate, and Temperance gives it right back, ready to use again.

The Atlas, a map in your pocket
Reveals every regular and special Supply Point, Scout Tower and Extraction Point. Handy if you've had bad luck finding them and want to catch up with everyone else fast.

Inferno returns
Wildfires are back on every map, and they're sticking around for the rest of 2.9, Chapter 3 included.
Fire that changes your route
- Wildfires sit in fixed locations and block key paths, so you'll have to plan new routes
- Heavy smoke reduces visibility in the affected areas
- The AI usually avoids the fire, but it may follow you through the flames or cut straight across them
- During the first week it has a high chance on every map; after that Crytek will tune the percentages live, without patches
- The Blood Moon stays in the rotation

Firefighter Supply
The Supply Point that debuted in 2.7 is back. It's usually right in the middle of the big wildfires.
- A Flame Rifle every time
- A chance of Tarot Cards and a sealed Trait
- Other rewards, such as the Scouting Map

Flame Rifle
It sprays pressurized liquid that produces a steady stream of flames. It comes in really handy for the infested compounds.

Infested compounds
The Bileweavers come back and web up 20 new compounds across the four maps. Every match activates 5 at random. In Chapter 3 the 20 compounds from previous times join in, for a total of 40 possible. They arrive with All Hallows' Cleave on October 13.
New routes and flanks
The infestation transforms the whole compound: upper floors and balconies become reachable without ladders, opening up new routes and flanks. That changes how you attack and how you defend. What does not come back is the central Bileweaver nest: this time it's only the compound changes.
Bileweaver
- Poison, as always
- Their eggs turn a more toxic color

Bloodweaver
- A deadlier Bileweaver variant with a red body
- Its jump attack and its hatching eggs cause Bleeding
- It doesn't poison
- It keeps the old red eggs, now with spikes
- The Blood Moon Frenzy makes it even more aggressive

Long Derringer
Yes, it's a Tool. It joins the Derringer family and is probably its most advanced pupil. It unlocks at Stage V of All Hallows' Cleave.
Stat sheet
- TypeTool
- AmmoLong
- Capacity1 + 2
- Price$110
- Damage116
- Bullet velocityUnconfirmed
HOW IT BEHAVES
- Shares its reserve with the other Long Ammo weapons you carry
- Reduced velocity and short drop range
- Very inaccurate at medium and long range
- 116 stays under the 125 threshold: it won't down a Hunter with 125 health in one shot
New Hunters and the story
Lynch's serum keeps finding volunteers. Chapter 2 brings her pupil, a nun from the other side and a family feud for Halloween.
Bound by Blood: Sophie Laurent
Lynch's pupil. She's spent her whole life passing herself off as quiet and innocent so nobody suspects the murders she enjoys committing, and she's already framed more than one person. The serum magnifies her ambition until she pushes Lynch to make it stronger.
- The Protegee · Legendary Hunter
- The Primrose · Mosin-Nagant skin
- Skin Deep · skin for the Sparks Pistol and Sparks Pistol Silencer
- The White Fox · Ammo Box skin
- The Protegee · Avatar and Frame

Sister Tabitha
She worked at a charity hospital in New York and went to Louisiana with a small group to care for the sick. She ended up falling ill herself and now wears a mask to hide the corruption, passing it off as leprosy. Convinced God is punishing her for her sins, she joins the Righteous, the side fighting the Bloodthirsty who drink Lynch's serum.

Cursed Kin
The Moses family reunion ends in a blood feud: Cousin Jed, from the Moses clan in the next town over, has a score to settle with William, Millie and Pappy Moses. It's written as a dime novel and, as always, you unlock the story by completing its challenges.
- Chapter 1 · Cousin Jed avatar and Legendary Hunter
- Chapter 2 · Cursed Kin title and The Slasher, a Combat Axe skin
- Chapter 3 · Cousin Jed frame and Restless Rotation, an Equipment Animation for the axe
- Chapter 4 · Moses Family avatar and Suffer the Silence charm
